The essential guide to campaign tracking

All campaigns and automated emails come with tracking enabled by default. With tracking, you can keep track of the opens and clicks on your campaign, which helps you analyze your campaign's performance and your subscribers' engagement.

However, with the recent Apple iOS 15 update, the tracking pixel in the Apple Mail app is pre-fetched automatically, which can affect the reliability of the open rate as a metric in many cases.

If you are currently utilizing our open and click tracking, it is imperative that you adhere to our Terms of Service by obtaining the necessary consent of your contacts in accordance with your local data privacy legislation. While we cannot offer legal advice, we strongly suggest that you include the following statement in your privacy policy where you collect your emails. This will inform your subscribers that open tracking is being used in your emails.

"We utilize tracking technologies, such as tracking pixels, in some of our emails. These are implemented through GiantCampaign (our email service provider) and aid us in comprehending how you engage with those emails. We utilize this information to enhance how we utilize email to promote our products and services."

Should you be seeking to minimize the tracking on your contacts, we offer support in disabling tracking for each campaign. If you are not actively utilizing your metrics, we highly recommend taking this approach.
