The dissimilarity between an automation and a campaign.

A campaign refers to an email sent to either the entire list or a segment of the list. It can be scheduled or sent immediately, with a report on its performance sent afterward. The data from the campaign activity can be used for segmentation.

On the other hand, an automation is a sequence of automated steps triggered depending on specific subscriber conditions.

Automated emails are part of the automation and are separate from campaigns. Unfortunately, automation activity data cannot be used for segmentation.

If you want to send a one-time email to your subscribers, such as newsletters or updates, use campaigns.

Automations are ideal for sending automated welcome emails or performing actions based on specific subscriber conditions.
