All campaigns and automated emails come with tracking enabled by default, allowing you to keep track of opens and clicks on your campaigns. This enables you to analyse your campaign's performance and your subscribers' engagement. However, with Apple iOS 15 update, the tracking pixel in the Apple Mail app may not be the most reliable metric as it is being automatically pre-fetched. Please refer to our link for more information.
If you opt to use our open and click tracking, it is your responsibility under our Terms of Service to obtain necessary consent from your contacts in compliance with local data privacy legislation. Although not legal advice, we advise that you include the following text in your privacy policy where you collect your emails to inform your subscribers about your use of open tracking:
"We use tracking technologies such as tracking pixels in some of our emails. These are set on our behalf by GiantCampaign (our email service provider) and help us to understand how you interact with those emails, and we use that information to improve how we use email to promote our products and services."
If you want to reduce tracking on your contacts, we support disabling tracking on a per campaign basis. If you don't use your metrics actively, we strongly recommend this approach.
